Mineola Nature Preserve

This past weekend we visited the Mineola Nature Preserve twice.  Once with BarBar and once with JeJe and Papaw.  The weather has been very nice, so we are taking full advantage.  It is so much fun now that Lawson is getting a little older and he is able to "play" a little at the playground.  He also loves to be pushed around the nature trails.

This picture shows how long Lawson's hair is getting.  I told Jarrett we had to wait until he is at least one to cut it!

Happy Valentine's Day

Valentine's Weekend

After being in Austin all week, I came home to a busy weekend.  Saturday morning started out with a baby shower for Kim, one of my friends I've had since Kindergarten. I think her bedding is adorable!

 And she also looks great with her baby belly!  Baby boy Cael is due around Lawson's birthday.  I think it would be pretty neat if they had the same birthday.  I guess we will see! 

Saturday night we were invited to a Valentine's Party hosted by my friend Bekah (on the right).  It was a fondue party, and was a lot of fun.  We had steak and shrimp and sat around and talked.  I had never had fondue before, so it was a fun experience.  Jarrett's mom was staying with us, so she was able to keep Lawson while we went.  It really was a nice night out.

To be honest, I'm not really into V-day, so I told Jarrett I just wanted him to wash my car instead of getting me anything.  Here is a picture of me and my Valentine!

I survived

I survived my first night away from Lawson. I've been in Austin at the Tech Conference and he's been home with daddy and having a good time.

Cold Days

The temperature around here has been freezing.  No snow, no ice just below freezing temperatures.  It has been fun to put Lawson in his "winter" clothing that barely get to be warn because it is hardly ever cold enough around here.  This little hat I ordered him off of Etsy, and I love it.  Here is a picture of our bundled up happy boy.  We are finally coming to the end of his sickness (I think).   

10 Months Old

Weight: 20 lbs. 3 oz.
Diaper:  Size 3
Clothes:  some 6-9 month and 12 month

Lawson is 10 months old today.  One of this biggest changes this month is that he is completely on bottles and solids.  He will eat pretty much anything.  When he pulls up he has started to let go of objects and stand on his own for a few seconds.  He now has three teeth, two on bottom and one on top.
This past month brought on the first "real" sickness for Lawson.  He is still trying to get over his cough and congestion.  He has not been sleeping well at all, and we actually had to let him sleep with us one night.  I've realized what a blessing it is that he is such a good sleeper most of the time.  We've been pretty worn out this past week.

It is still hard to believe that in 2 months he will be 1!

Sick Day

Yesterday I was home with my boy because he was sick.  He was up the night before from 3:00 to 4:00 and just couldn't seem to get comfortable.  I stayed home from work and took him to the doctor. He has an ear infection and an upper respiratoy infection.

Last night he was up about 4 times and just could not get comfortable. It broke my heart because I can tell he feels so bad.  I put him in bed with us for a little while, and was tempted to just let him sleep with us!  Man I was tired this morning when my alarm clock went off at 5:45.  Hopefully the antibiotics will fight the infection, and he will be back to his normal self soon.
